Dr Andrew Ong FRACS

Dr Andrew Ong (FRACS General Surgery) is an Australian-trained consultant general surgeon with a practice focused on breast and endocrine surgery.

He has been in consultant surgical practice since 2009. The majority of his clinical work involves the assessment and surgical management of breast, thyroid, and parathyroid conditions.

He operates at Campbelltown Public and Private Hospitals, The George Centre, Macquarie University Hospital, and Chris O’Brien Lifehouse.

Multidisciplinary Care & Research

Dr Ong is Chair of the GenesisCare Oncology Breast Multidisciplinary Team. Multidisciplinary review is a standard part of his approach to patients with breast cancer and thyroid malignancy.

He has contributed to clinical trials and research in breast surgery and oncology, including participation in the Garvan Institute ALLCLEAR and WINPRO studies, and has co-authored publications in peer-reviewed surgical and breast journals.

Dr Ong has also contributed to surgical education and has held academic appointments with Western Sydney University.

Dr Ong also provides independent expert medical opinions and reports in matters relating to breast and endocrine surgery.
